Working on Peon AI. Right now they patrol between boat and tree but will soon also go their shelter and saw. I think about having an energy value for them making them go to their home take a nap if they are low on energy , increasing their gain afterwards.
I carved some sand details into the ground. Added a blob shadow for the palm. The shield and axe now uses the metalic and smoothness property of its shader. The shader for the palm, ship and the player has now more emissive power. The UI for chopping has its first draft but Sebastian Irmer makes us some nicer wooden board soon. Chopping levels up a multiplier on the base weapon damage on the tree.
Sebastian worked with me at the company sMeet he is the lead artist there. He also sells this desert asset pack via the unity assetstore which I bought for the palm mainly. Also he created the shipwreck specially for me a while ago.
I made rounder clouds and started with the player UI. Upper left = Settings + Loyality (more on that soon) Lower left = Joystick (not yet functional on mobile) Lower right = Action set, will be contextual with a base action set with multiple levels to navigate through.
