Different Digital Experience Projects.
The title should explain everything, haha. So it is monday and I have exactly around 1 month until I release Sha Cat for the iPhone.
Today I completed the Chapter 3 level select screen leaving me with one more to go. (release the game with 4 chapters)
Also the enemies appearing after the treasure guards have been born. Crossbow shooting dogs, obviously they do not want to come to close to this cat.
The game so far has a lot of action, strong enemies which will challenge everyone, to generate some contrast in the game I created and added a small romantic scene as an flashback in-between the hectic battling of Sha Cat. Enjoy!
I am a nerdy game designer, fantasy role playing games like Diablo 2, World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy 7 are my background.
But the mobile market is casual, so I have to align a little bit and in my deepest core I am happy about it too.
My girlfriend always reminds me if something looks to nerdy and helps me to keep the cute and elegant touch. I’m getting better at it but still a way to go. Ah, jeah that’s a photo we took in Berlin this girl is the face of the Sha Cat marketing campaign.

The Sha Cat is coming!
Slip into the role of the shamanistic cat lady and enter a bizarre world. Battle through a horde of creatures to save your kidnapped boyfriend which has been stolen by a granny.
Collect mushrooms to buy dresses which will make you more powerful. Meet friends along the way which will join you in your Battles.

I changed the start health of the cat lady from 13 to 7. Because a cat has 7 lives.
After I twittered this I quickly got a response from a guy(Rob_Kian) living in the US and briefly after that another one on google+(Lone Wolf).
The cat mythical lives seem to vary based on the country they located in.
„Cats in the US are said to have 9 lives whereas in Germany and southern Europe they only have 7 lives. While the poor cats in Arabian countries are even only said to have 6 lives“

I will go with 7 health for the cat, it’s game balancing wise about right to start the game.
The amount of lives makes the first 2 levels almost impossible to fail and on level 3 you get your first challenge.
Additional I created a new cat costume today. The voodoo Priest. (video soon)
And I added a custom font for the health text of the cat(player) and the enemies.
Only 3 more costumes and I have all cloths for the release in April. Then I can re-focus on gameplay again, trying to find the right difficulty level for each level.
