Orcs Up! Becomes Orcs X2

The working title Orcs Up! is officially becoming Orcs X2.

This new VR adventure follows the path that started with Orcs, the original clicker game by David Zobrist from 2015, and continued with the mobile hit Orcs X in 2018. Now the tribe is marching into virtual reality.

Fans of the previous games can expect the same light-hearted, addictive fun: orcs working, numbers growing, upgrades unlocking, and that familiar “just one more step” feeling. But this time, everything is built for VR.

In Orcs X2, every chapter of the story goes deeper. Each stage becomes a place you can reach into, touch, steer, loot, build, and explore with playful hand interactions. The orcs are still silly, loyal, and wildly convinced they are destined for greatness, but the world around them is bigger, stranger, and more dangerous than ever.

So get ready for Orcs X2.

No longer Orcs Up!. That was our working title.

The next orc adventure is coming to VR.

Your Chieftain,
Dave

Loot, Gear Up, and Step Into the Forest – Orcs X2

In Orcs X2, every treasure chest is more than a reward. It is preparation.

This scene shows one of those early moments where the world starts to feel bigger than the tribe. A glowing chest waits between rocks and jungle shadows, sealed with strange sea-born details, while your VR hand reaches toward it. Maybe it holds gear. Maybe resources. Maybe something the orcs are absolutely convinced is “legendary conquest material.”

But in Orcs X2, you are not an unstoppable hero casually crushing everything in your path. The island matters. The forest matters. The world has weight, danger, mystery, and opportunity. Like the best classic RPG worlds, it is not just a background for your power fantasy. It pushes back.

Before entering the forest, you loot, upgrade, prepare, and make choices. Your orc tribe is funny, loyal, and wildly overconfident, but the island is not impressed yet. Hidden threats, strange plants, crabs, old magic, and whatever waits deeper in the trees will test whether your little tribe can become something greater.

Orcs X2 is a VR RPG idle clicker adventure for Meta Quest, built around hand tracking, physical interaction, loot, upgrades, exploration, and a growing orc tribe that keeps working even when you are away.

The forest is waiting. Gear up first.

Orcs X2: Navigate the Storm in VR

The beginning of Orcs X2 throws you straight into the adventure: rain, darkness, crashing waves, and a tiny orc ship fighting its way through the storm. With your hands, you guide the journey in VR and feel right away that something big is about to begin.

Orcs X2 is still in development, but the course is set: a wild, funny, and epic VR hit for Meta Quest, packed with orcs, magic, chaos, and progression. The voyage starts soon. And if the orcs are right, this will not just be another game, but a true VR sensation.

David Zobrist Indie Game Developer behind „Orcs X2“ and „Orcs“ and „Orcs X“

Hi, my name is David Zobrist.
I’ve been working in the gaming industry since 2009.

Over the years, I’ve worked as a Game Designer, Quality Assurance Manager, and Indie Game Developer.
Right now, I’m the CTO of PsyCurio, where we’re developing a VR application for the treatment of psychological illnesses.

As a side project, I’m working on Orcs X2 for VR — an incremental idle RPG based on a mobile game I originally launched in 2015, with another version released in 2018. In total, the game reached over 2 million installs.

It’s free-to-play, and I didn’t monetize it properly back then — so I’m still chasing that indie dream. At the same time, my work at PsyCurio feels truly meaningful.

Overall, I’d say I’m in a good place right now, especially with all the new AI tools available.

One of the biggest bottlenecks in my earlier projects was content production — players would progress much faster than I could create new content. With today’s AI tools, this problem finally feels solvable.

Thanks for reading — and feel free to follow my blog if you’re interested in the progress of Orcs X2 and my journey.

Your Chieftain,
Dave
