Orcs X2 upcoming VR incremental RPG

Orcs X2 (formerly Orcs Up!) is a VR idle clicker RPG for Meta Quest, built with hand tracking gameplay and interactive mechanics.

Lead your tribe of Orcs, chop resources with your hands, upgrade your village, and unlock new areas across a mysterious island. Experience a unique mix of incremental progression, idle gameplay, and active VR interaction — combining resource management, RPG upgrades, and satisfying clicker mechanics.

Designed for standalone VR, Orcs X2 blends casual idle systems with immersive VR gameplay, with plans to expand into multiplayer and co-op experiences.

Become the Chieftain. Build, upgrade, and grow your Orc empire in VR.

Orcs X2 – VR Idle RPG

Orcs X2 is already becoming what I set out to build years ago.

A VR idle RPG that actually works — technically, mechanically, and emotionally.

Built on everything I learned from my past projects, including Orcs X, this time the foundation is different:

solid systems, scalable design, and gameplay that keeps evolving.

What started as a passion project has grown into a fully working experience with:

– a strong core gameplay loop

– satisfying progression systems

– VR hand tracking that feels natural and intuitive

– a world that expands as you go deeper into it

This is building something that reaches millions of players — step by step, system by system.

The vision is already there.

The foundation is already built.

Now it’s about scale.

Orcs X2 – VR idle clicker rpg game!

Orcs X2 — the VR RPG idle clicker incremental game for Meta Quest — has been developed by David Zobrist over the past years as a passion project.

It combines incremental game mechanics with RPG elements, exploration, and a rich story — all in VR, using your own hands through intuitive hand tracking.

The game is planned to launch in Q4 2026, and you’ll be able to wishlist it in the coming months.

It delivers complex, intriguing gameplay mechanics powered by intuitive XR hand tracking.

You are stranded on an unknown, mysterious island and make your way deeper and deeper into it, unlocking new areas, mechanics, and challenges.

I hope you will be there with me to start this new “Orcs” adventure!

Chieftain,
Dave

Orcs X2 former Orcs Up! Git Repo insights over the years

Also, in 2023 I had another repo for Orcs X2 on mobile, which I canceled.
So things are moving step by step.

I’m okay with taking the longer, safer road this time.

Chieftain,
Dave

Design first? Orcs up! Proper planning prevents poor performance!

As a goal for 2026, I gave myself the task to finally do proper design first!
I had to go through too many iterations for the beach area — to be fair, it’s my first VR game, so I had to test a lot of things early on.

But now I want to reduce development time through proper planning.

Proper planning prevents poor performance!

And for that, I’ve discovered Miro.
